Within a day of the announcement of discovery of this scattered-disk object, Rob Matson found images from 2001-2002 in the SkyMorph database. The extended arc of observations allowed me to find five DSS images of 2007 UK126 as early as 1982.

The new orbit is much more accurate because the object has now been observed for over 25 years instead of thirteen months. 2007 UK126 was numbered on 2009-12-31.
